Meaningful insights into your baby’s health

Sema4 Noninvasive Prenatal Select is a simple blood test that can detect chromosomal abnormalities as early as 9 weeks into pregnancy

The information you need to decide what comes next

If you are pregnant, your doctor may recommend testing for chromosomal conditions. In rare cases, a baby will have an extra or missing chromosome, or part of a chromosome. This can lead to pregnancy loss or genetic conditions associated with physical or intellectual disabilities, such as Down syndrome. There are two ways that chromosomal conditions can be detected – screening tests and diagnostic tests. While diagnostic tests offer more definitive answers, they are also associated with a small risk to the pregnancy. Due to this, some women prefer to start with a screening test, like Sema4 Noninvasive Prenatal Select. Learn more in our patient brochure below.

Meaningful insights into your baby’s health as early as 9 weeks into pregnancy

Sema4 Noninvasive Prenatal Select is a simple blood test you can take during pregnancy. It analyzes fragments of fetal DNA (called cell-free DNA) found in the mother’s blood using advanced DNA sequencing technology.

Noninvasive Prenatal Select can help you learn more about your chance of having a child with a chromosomal abnormality, such as Down syndrome. The results of this test can also help inform decisions about diagnostic testing.

This test is suitable for singleton and multiple gestation pregnancies, along with egg donor and surrogate pregnancies.*
